Description
On 4 May 2026, at 10:00 a.m., a tornado destroyed 182 houses and one school in Thanal Dach village, Lom Tong commune, Anlong Veaeng district, Otdar Mean Chey province.
On May 5, 2026, His Excellency Kim Virak, Vice Chairman and Secretary General of the National Disaster Management Committee (NDMC), representing His Excellency Kittisanghabandit, Senior Minister, First Vice Chairman of the NDMC, visited and paid tribute to the people affected by the natural disaster of the cyclone in Anlong Veaeng District, Otdar Mean Chey Province. With the participation of the Governor of Anlong Veng District and the NDMC working group. On this occasion, His Excellency Kim Virak also brought gifts from His Majesty the King Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia, to be distributed to the affected families, including: 2,213 sheets of zinc and 200 sheets of tiles for the repair of 1 school, delivered through the Anlong Veng District Administration.
