Description
According to preliminary reports from Lang Son, Quang Ninh, and Bac Ninh provinces, Typhoon No. 4 and heavy rains have caused the following damage:
- Regarding casualties: 01 person died (Mr. Duong Phuc Hinh, born in 1999 in Thai Binh commune, Lang Son province) due to a landslide that struck his house.
- Regarding homes: 200 houses were damaged or had their roofs blown off; 733 houses were flooded (Lang Son).
- Regarding agriculture and forestry: 2,864 hectares of crops were flooded and damaged (Lang Son 1,100 hectares; Bac Ninh 1,687 hectares; Quang Ninh 78 hectares).
- Regarding livestock: 100 head of cattle and 6,000 head of poultry died (Lang Son).
- Regarding transportation: 603 points of landslides and flooding causing traffic congestion (600 in Lang Son; 3 in Bac Ninh).
Local authorities are continuing to assess and compile the extent of the damage.
